{SNEAK PEEK} Big Dreamer and Brave One from Shery Russ Designs

Happy Sunday, STAMPlorations friends! Tomorrow is the start of our week-long Summer Product Release blog hop. We have four brand new 4x8 stamp sets designed by Shirley and me + four new CUTplorations word dies.

Last Friday, you had a preview of Shirley's new stamp sets in this post. Today, I'm sharing previews of the other two 4x8 stamp sets (which I designed): Big Dreamer and Brave One. I also made a couple of quick cards (made after I'd put my two girls to bed last night). The girls in the Inspiration team have made some awesome cards featuring these sets so you won't want to miss those posts!

Big Dreamer | Brave One

These stamps are now in the store and available to purchase (at 10% off) starting Monday. And here are my sample cards:

I love the whimsy feel of the images and fingers crossed I can make a few more to showcase the stamps later in the week. See you tomorrow!

{Special Post} Thank You For Celebrating With Us! + A Few More Cards for the Road

Hi, guys! It's the last day of our birthday celebration -- the month sure whizzed by fast! I'm so thankful to have you all celebrate our 5th birthday. Our gallery is brimming with fantastic CASEs and I love how you have been inspired by the STAMPgirls.

A huge thank you goes to my amazing design team, the super-talented ladies who helped me make this month-long inspiration possible. (We've not had a daily post for 30 days straight until now!). I'm so grateful to them and I certainly feel very blessed to have them devote their talents to helping spread the word about our little company.

If you have just stumbled across our blog and think you're too late for the party -- you're not! You've got until July 3 to comment on the posts, link up your wishlist, and even CASE the STAMPgirls!

And here's a quick link to ALL of this month's posts:

And I've got one last batch of past favorites (my Top 3 Color Explosion One Layer Cards) and a new card to share and close the month.

And here's my new card:

Ingredients:

I CASEd all three cards -- I went with the layout of the first, the butterfly element of the second, and the stencil technique of the third -- to come up with this almost-CAS artsy grungy one layer card. Rather like how the card turned out :o)

Want to CASE one of my cards? If you've been at all inspired by my cards, do link up your creations to our Birthday Linky Party aka CASE the STAMPgirls Challenge by July 3. The linky is found at the end of the post HERE. Five lucky players will win a $50 gift certificate to the store -- one of them could be you! :o)

For a chance to win a $25 gift certificate, leave a comment on this post.
For a chance to win up to $25 worth of STAMPlorations products, create and link up your wishlist here.

Again, thank you so much for celebrating our 5th year with us! See you again next year, okay?

PS: Check back on July 10 to see if you're one of the winners!

{Special Post} STAMPlorations 5th Birthday Hop feat. STAMPgirl Shery Russ #2

Hello again, guys! We are nearly halfway through the month and with our birthday celebration. Have you CASEd any of the STAMPgirls and linked up yet? Unsure about the whole CASEing thing? For our purpose, we loosely take it to mean that you copy something from our projects in order to create your own. It can be the color combination, the layout, a particular element. If your creation is inspired by what you see in any of the posts we publish this month, make sure you link it up in gallery.

So here's my second set of favorites, which I'm aptly calling, "Grungy Butterflies One Layer Cards" :o)

And here's my new card:

Again, I didn't mean to CASE myself but that's what happened when I had to come up with something and I only had a half hour or so before the little ones woke up from their nap! That grungy large butterfly is one of my favorite stamps. For creating one layer cards with that bit (or lots!) of grunge, my go-to stamps are the stamps in Mixed Media Elements and Mixed Media Grunge. I simply stamped the sentiment in the center and then built my background around it, layering the stamps, partially inking and stamping them onto the card base.

Here's a close-up:

Inspired by my messy, grungy stamping? Go ahead and CASE one of my cards...then link it up to our Birthday Linky Party aka CASE the STAMPgirls Challenge.

PS: We have $5 Birthday Bash Surprise Bags -- each bag has at least $20 worth of STAMPlorations goodies inside! Check them out here.

{Special Post} STAMPlorations 5th Birthday Hop feat. STAMPgirl Shery Russ

Hey, STAMPlorations friends! I'm starting off the special posts wherein each STAMPgirl and her projects get to be in the spotlight. We picked 3 of our favorite projects and then created one new project (or a few!).

What's special about these posts is that not only will you get to see the wide range of artistic cardmaking/papercrafting styles in the STAMPlorations design team, you can also use our projects as a creative springboard -- CASE us and link up your creations for a chance at a $50 gift certificate to the STAMPlorations store! There will 5 lucky crafters :o)

For those of you who aren't sure about what CASEing is, we loosely take it to mean that you copy something from our projects in order to create your own. It can be the color combination, the layout, a particular element. If your creation is inspired by what you see in any of the posts we publish this month, we'd love to see it in the gallery and hope you'll link up! Okay?

I'll start off with 3 of my favorite previous makes. (Well, I have several top 3 favorites, as I will be posting a few more times throughout the month). Here are my Top 3 Monochrome/B&W One Layer Cards :o)

And here's my new card:

Not really meaning to CASE myself...but CASE myself I did, mainly because monochromatic one layer cards are always quick to make...especially with a gel press plate and black acrylic paint. Plus large dies (like our cover plates!) are easy to use as stencils for creating one layer cards. Plus monoprinting will let you achieve that grungy effect without really trying :o) The print on this card is the second print I pulled after I removed the diecut-cum-stencil from my gel press plate. (Second prints are often rather more artsy and way cooler than first prints, in my experience!)

Here's a close-up:

So how about CASEing one of my cards? The most obvious feature is the monochromatic (or black and white) color scheme. Or you can do butterflies...or grunge...or one layer :o) If you've been at all inspired by my cards, do link up your creations in our Birthday Linky Party aka CASE the STAMPgirls Challenge.

PS: Check out our $5 Birthday Bash Surprise Bags in the store :o)

{Stamp Designer Spotlight} Typografia ROMANTIQUE from Shery Russ Designs + Comment to Win

A happy Monday to you all! Since the beginning of the month, the STAMPlorations girls have been sharing projects featuring newly released products. We're tying in these weekly posts with the current challenge -- and if you'd like to win $25 spending money, all you need to do is check back weekly and leave comments here on the blog and on the designers' blogs. There are only a couple of days left this month so better get to commenting!

Today we're featuring the stamps in our new Typografia line: ROMANTIQUE. To those of you who have been following our blog for a couple of years (or more), you know that I love typography and creating word art stamps. While the stamps in the Typografia Romantique line are, well, romantic in nature, they can be used in cards and other projects that aren't necessarily romance-inspired.

And here are projects showcasing these stamps.

Jessica, MariLynn, Sanna, and Terri sure know how to work these Typografia stamps, don't they? Leave a comment here and on the designers' blogs for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate.

And if you want another chance at winning, link up any project you have with a love theme or red in it to the February Challenge - Paint It Red. Only a couple of days left to link up!

By the way,  all of my (Shery's) stamps and dies are 10% off -- no coupon needed...the discount is automatically applied in the shopping cart! You can even snap them up at an extra 20% off if you use any one of the STAMPlorations girls' discount code, which you'll find when you visit their blogs! You'll find all of my stamps here.
