{Mixed Media Tutorial} Quick and Not-So-Messy Mixed Media ATCs

Happy Friday, STAMPlorations friends! Today we have a mixed media tutorial from STAMPgirl MariLynn. Make sure you comment on this post for a chance at a $7 prize code. We will be drawing 10 winners, with the winners randomly drawn from all posts published during the month. The more posts you comment on, the more chances you have.

Sometimes when we think of mixed media or artist trading cards, we think of messes. Well at least I usually do. Messes can be so much fun. But sometimes there isn't enough time to play and get things cleaned up for real life. That is where a project like I am going to show you comes in. These Mixed Media Artist Trading Cards were not only not very messy but they came together very quickly because most of the work is already done by using the ephemera cards and tiles.

{New Paper Goods!} Floral Silhouettes ATC

Happy Wednesday, STAMPfriends! We're back with another fun post on the paper goods that have been added recently to the store. We've got card fronts, colorables, and ephemera available to artsy crafters like you to give your project some "oomph!". They're some of the most gorgeous designs professionally printed on 120# (325 gsm) matte white cardstock.

The STAMPgirls have been playing with these for a while now and they all love the quality of both design and paper. I've also gotten a lot of great feedback from customers who love the thickness of the cardstock.

Our paper goods are a recent addition to the store and our catalog continues to grow. This month, I added 14 new products to our paper goods section: three (3) A2 card fronts, six (6) ephemera tiles, and five (5) ATC/journaling cards.

Over the next few weeks, you will be seeing the STAMPgirls share projects that feature our paper goods -- they're here to give you ideas on how you can use the products creatively in your own projects.

You've seen projects by Tanja, Jane, Nancy, and Shirley featuring the Gingerbread Ephemera TilesNewsprint Coffee Ephemera Tiles, Hey Hello A2 Card Fronts, and Newsprint Blooms Ephemera Tiles. In this post, we're putting the spotlight on Floral Silhouettes ATC. Again I went with my favorite or go-to design style (newsprint background) in designing this product. Each design can work as a focal element or as a background.

Have a look at Nancy's and MariLynn's projects.

Check out our current catalog of paper goods here.

{Mixed Media Tutorial} MariLynn Creates an Altered Easter Egg

Decorating eggs just go along with Easter, but when I made my project I read that decorating eggs is one of the oldest forms of art. I read that archaeologists have found that some ancient Romans were buried with eggs. So I guess everything old is new again. I am going to show you how to decorate an egg with a new Mixed Media twist.
