I took the set a little further and had the matching For the Birds CUTplorations die set made (sold separately and retails for $13). The single bird die will cut a bird shape that's the exact same size as the single birds in the set...which is great if you love to mask because you won't have to fussy cut! These dies are also great if you want to create your own trendy/funky birds -- use the dies on designer paper or even use background stamps after diecutting. The good news is that the dies are free to premium stamp club subscribers who pick the For the Birds stamp set when their subscription renews :o)

{PREVIEW} December 2016/January 2017 Stamp Club Set - SCRIBBLY SPLATTERY GRUNGE

Hey, STAMPlorations friends! It's time for the preview of the newest premium stamp club set: SCRIBBLY SPLATTERY GRUNGE. (Yep, I'm a girl who loves grunge and I can't seem to stop designing stamps with a grunge feel. They're fun to layer in ink.)

SCRIBBLY SPLATTERY GRUNGE is a 5" by 7" stamp set with 15 different stamps to help create faux texture and dimension in projects without the mess. You'll soon see the STAMPlorations girls feature Scribbly Splattery Grunge in their spotlight projects. But here's a card I made with these stamps. It's a pretty simple one layer card where I created a collage look by stamping the images in different colors of ink. To further create the grunge/distressed look, I lightly stamped on scrap before stamping on my card base. The grungy background nicely sets off the sentiment (from the previous stamp club set, Life in Full Color).

I originally had a different set pegged for release but while I was tweaking that one back in early August, I started on this one and finished it before I could finalize that other set. I liked this artsy set so much I decided to simply release the other set next year :o)

Here are 3 cards I made with these stamps. And just like that, July is almost over! It seemed like it wasn't too long ago that I shared a preview of the latest stamp club stamp. Yet here I am, sharing the newest premium stamp club set: ARTSY TRIBAL DOODLES.

ARTSY TRIBAL DOODLES is a 5" by 7" stamp set with 26 images that have a sketchy, doodled tribal vibe. I was inspired by a tribal design I saw while I was out shopping for Kathryn's baby clothes earlier this year. When I got home, I began doodling some of my own "tribal" elements. This is a set that's different from anything out there.

Next week we'll be welcoming April, the start of a new quarter -- how fast the months have flown by! With the new month comes a new stamp club set: BORN TO ROAM.

BORN TO ROAM is a 5" by 7" stamp set featuring 8 images and 9 word art style sentiments. It's a travel-themed set that's perfect for creating not just cards but also ATCs, journal pages, scrapbook layouts, and more.

The images showcase my hand-drawn/sketchy style and the sentiments reflect my love for grunge and typography. This set was a year in the making. Early last year, I had sketched the stack of suitcases and camera and then promptly let them sit in my "working illustrations" folder (which literally has hundreds of sketches waiting for me to finish) because I didn't know exactly what I was going to do with them yet. Then in early January, I took a look at the folder and I began thinking of what set I could create with my camera and suitcases drawings. A travel set came to mind. And so when I had a few hours to myself (meaning, in the wee hours of the morning when my baby was asleep) I did a few more images. There were 3 other drawings that didn't make it into the set because of space :o)
