Hello, peeps! I wanted to use the diecut flowerpot from the STAMP Club Fluttery die set as a mask for a colourful background, then have the matching image from the Fluttery Stamp set in stark uncoloured contrast.
I started off by placing the diecut on my card panel, then sprinkled powdered colour on the background, allowing it to spill over onto the diecut. You could use any brand of powdered colour, but I like Infusions which has walnut stain mixed in with the colour. A little goes a very long way!
Spritz gently with water, adding a bit more where necessary. Leave it all to activate for a couple of minutes.
This picture is halfway through the process. I added more water, particularly in the top corners. When you think it's developed enough - just leave it all for another minute. Once it's been blotted, a lot of that intense colour disappears.
Once the panel had dried I stamped the image and sentiment, then mounted it onto my base card.
The by-product of this process was a cute little flowerpot shape, which I stamped on then mounted onto paint-splattered card. Two cards for the price of one!
