June Winners Post DELAYED
Hey, STAMPlorations friends. I know many of you eagerly look out for the winners post every 10th of the month. My apologies but that post is delayed.
Two weeks ago, we had an unplanned visit from relatives + their animals...2 dogs, which we had to introduce to our own 2 German shepherds and make sure they don't end up killing each other. They ended up staying for 2 whole weeks and needless to say, my hands...which were already full with taking care of my two super-active little girls...became even more full. I hardly had time to sit in front of my computer to work. Drafting posts took days instead of an hour or two. It was a wonderful visit, though, because we haven't seen them in almost three years. The girls loved seeing their cousin again (who is now a teenager) and they instantly became his adoring fans. (I think he was a little intimidated and overwhelmed by all the girlie attention thrown at him. Kathryn and Winter are a handful and tend to have bottomless enthusiasm.)
They left this morning and I simply crashed once they drove off. I was so wiped out that when the girls said they were hungry again a couple of hours after they had their breakfast, I put Kathryn in charge of feeding herself and her sister. They did well...nothing exciting happened (thank goodness) while I was passed out in the pen and they both looked full and miraculously clean :o)
After putting the girls to bed, I finally sat down this evening to do last month's winners post. But alas, InLinkz took it upon itself to go down. I can't even login to it right now to check entries and do the random drawings. (The linkies won't load on the blog either.) So...I'm not going to wait all night for InLinkz to get back up -- they could even be back online after this is posted.
I'll work on the winners post in the next couple of days as I re-charge and then publish it either on Monday (7/12) or Tuesday (7/13). The deadline for claiming prizes will be adjusted accordingly. Plus, you have until Sunday night to comment on the June posts for more chances at our prizes. (Commenting usually closes on the 8th but I'm extending it.)
Thanks for your patience and understanding!

I think you're due some much needed rest. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteI think we can all agree that your health and family ALWAYS come first. It's the same with me. It's like getting a birthday present a few days late ... just something to look forward to! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGosh what a busy exciting exhausting time. Take care. Hugz
ReplyDeleteIt can be exhausting to have guests! Rest up!
ReplyDeleteYou were so descriptive, I could see the whole situation. I was thinking that you were going to say that you fell down when they left, and cried from exhaustion. Rest up and don't worry about the post. People understand, trust me. If they have lived, they understand :)
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to go to bed reading that! NO WORRIES!!!! Take your time and take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteWhew!! I don't deal well with things like surprise guests, especially for two weeks, so you have my admiration! Even when it's just family, I always feel the pressure to make the visit fun and fulfilling. You deserve to hibernate for a week now, but I know that a mom of youngsters can't do that. Hope you can relax a bit now and take some time for yourself.
ReplyDeleteI’m tired just hearing about it.
ReplyDeleteI'm exhausted just hearing about this!! Take care
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a great time. Thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteIt's summer and you need to enjoy that company and your girls!! You do an awesome job and it'll come! After some rest and recoup you will be make with a vengeance! God bless!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful surprise to have family visit after so long! Can only imagine how tired you were...& stressed! The fact that you wrote a post to tell everyone when the winner's will be announced is all that anyone needs, so you shouldn't worry about it at all! What drives me crazy is when someone says they will do something on a particular day & days later they say sorry they got busy. You're beyond thoughtful & so generous--thank you, Shery!
ReplyDeleteWow you deserve to rest! Having company over is exhausting and fun all rolled into one. Take your time and think you for being so generous with your fans!
ReplyDeleteGet caught up on your rest. It does effect our health. Not seeing them for three years, I'm sure you would do it all over again. Blessings to you!
