CASEplorations January

Well, flip that calendar page over and say hello to 2016, will ya? Hope you enjoyed a lovely holiday season and are ready for a new year of creating. Thanks for stopping by. We at CASEplorations are here to help ;)

We have tweaked the challenge a little bit. We'll still be sharing one amazing card from blogland to CASE each month. We'll still be sharing our CASEs with you on the first of the month. We are asking you to join us by CASEing that one amazing card and hooking your project(s) up in the CASEplorations gallery by the end of the month. Easy peasy. We've got a new challenge graphic for you to share and we'll even give you a reminder mid-month ;)

I am delighted to welcome one of blogland's favorite cardmaking "personalities" as our guest designer to CASE this month. Impeccable design - usually clean, seldom simple. {Spotlight Project} Monika Goes On An Adventure Journey

Hi, all. It's Monika with one last spotlight project. I am saying 'goodbye' from the Spotlight Team, but I shall be staying on in the Inspirations Team. I am also getting ready for an adventure of a lifetime cruising the canals of England. That's the plan. We had hoped to have a boat secured by now, but luck has been on someone else's side. I shall keep you posted about our progress in next year's Inspiration Posts.

{Spotlight Project} Shery Does Stamping with Watersoluble Oil Pastels

Hi, STAMPlorations friends! So I haven't done too many spotlight projects lately because my little girl (who'll be 4 months on December 29!) has been keeping me pretty busy :o) Last night, however, while she was asleep, I was able to sneak in a few minutes of crafting.

For months I have been wanting to play with supplies I bought before I gave birth. For this spotlight project, I finally got to play with my set of Cretacolor Aqua Stic watersoluble oil pastels. There are so many techniques I've been wanting to try with these babies but knowing I only had a short time to get this project done, I went with the simplest: using the Aqua Stics for stamping and watercoloring. Here's my card:

{Spotlight Project} Maria Uses a Stencil to Create a Bokeh Effect

Welcome to my last spotlight project for 2015. Hope you are ready for the holidays and may have a little time for playing in your craft room soon! Today I will show you how I achieved a bokeh effect using a stencil. I actually created a rabble of butterflies with the bokeh technique.
