{Spotlight Project} Maria Gives Bleach a Try

Welcome to today's Spotlight post. I decided to have a go at a bleach technique I stumbled upon. It didn't work like in the video, but I made some cards with the results anyway. In the end I actually ended up liking the card I made from my "epic fail" the best! Here it is.

July Challenge - Theme and Sketch

Hello, hello! It's time for a new theme and sketch challenge. Thank you to everyone who played in last month's challenge. The winner and top picks will be announced on Monday, July 10.

Before we reveal this month's theme and sketch, we have an announcement: this is the last theme and sketch challenge, as the girls are taking August and September off. We'll resume the challenge on October 6.

Our theme for July is STAMPS & WARM COLORS. Reds, yellows, oranges, and beige or creamy colors are warm colors so we'd love to see any or all of those colors in your projects this month. Or you can ditch the color theme and simply go with the sketch. Up to you.

{Spotlight Project} Shirley Selects a Rose

I've needed a couple of sympathy cards lately, so my stash has become depleted. I thought I'd select one focus stamp, Sketched: Rose, to create a few quick and easy cards to replenish my stash. The layout for the cards is pretty much the same - one large-image stamp, a coloured background panel and a stamped sentiment (in the first two).

{Spotlight Project} Becca Plays with Fireworks

Happy 4th of July one and all! Here in the USA we are celebrating Independence Day! I looooove to watch fireworks. Something about sitting underneath a starry sky and watching sparkly bits of fire rain down above my head really makes me feel like I'm living on the edge. I mean, who doesn't want to watch thousands of dollars literally just burn up in flames?

I really do love fireworks. I also like poking fun at things. In honor of the 4th of July, I decided to see if I could make my own sparkly firework splashes.
