We visited a lovely tea room last week, vintage-themed, but fresh and funky at the same time. It inspired me to make a set of tea room styled cards.
You saw the green sundae card on my blog and the STAMPlorations blog yesterday. Here's a little run-through of how I made the macaron card.
On spare white card I stamped the macarons from Sugar Rush and coloured them with the same Distress Inks as the panel, then fussy cut them to fit the arrangement I wanted. On the panel, I stamped a grungy doily using one of the stamps from the Mixed Media Grunge set.
Using a stitched rectangle die, I trimmed the panel. UK card sizes differ from US card sizes, so the stitched rectangle didn't quite fit. I could either trim down my card, or use the white border at the bottom for my sentiment, and I think that worked quite nicely. Here's a close-up of the finished macaron card. The orange card is on my blog, along with a photo of inside the tea room.
