{Throwback Thursday} Creative Layouts by Jessica

Hey, STAMPlorations friends! Welcome to Throwback Thursday! On the last Thursday of the month for the next 3 months, we have a guest designer sharing projects inspired by a previous STAMPlorations project...either one she made or was made by another STAMPgirl. And every month, we'll draw one lucky crafter to win a $15 gift code -- randomly drawn from all comments left on the Throwback Thursday post for the month, as well as from the featured designer's blog.

Today STAMPgirl Jessica shares her creative takes inspired by one the cards she made.

Have a look at Jessica's projects:

Hi everyone! Jessica here, and welcome back to another Throwback Thursday feature. For this week, I thought I would revisit the idea of creating fun-shaped card layouts. A lot of the times my card layout is just rectangular, but I really enjoyed creating an irregular shaped panel for my card below. So here are 3 other projects embracing the same concept. :)

The Throwback Card

Card #1
For this rose card I die-cut a stitched circle in the middle. Isn't it a great way to highlight the beautiful sentiment from Brave One stamp set? I think it's a perfect match for this card. "Bloom" mirrors the blooming roses, and since the sentiment is at the very center of the card, it really is blooming "from within."

Card #2
I absolutely love this stained glass stencil. I thought it would be fun to cut it up and create some interest. The sentiment is from Fond Expressions 2.

Card #3
Very lastly we have this rainbow Bloomdala card that has a similar irregular shaped panel like my old creation. The smaller Bloomdala mask is perfect focus for this technique.

Aren't those cards gorgeous? For a chance to win a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store, leave a comment here by August 8. We'll announce the winner in the July winners post on August 10.
