{Spotlight Project} Two Love Birds with Monika


Hi STAMPlorations Friends! I'm back with another project featuring the Sketched Hearts Stencil. This time I used it to frame a little background scene for these two love birds. Have a look ...


I started off with masking off a little circle and attaching my stencil to the square base card before loosely sponging a background.


To have the heart blend with the sketchy look of the birds, I decided to outline it with a black fine liner pen.


After stamping and fussy cutting the birds, I loosely placed them to help me position the sentiment before stamping it.


To finish, I attached the birds and stamped the hearts in place.

TIP!: The stamped hearts were perfect to disguise a little mistake I made when outlining the large sketched heart. Can you spot it?

This card would make a really sweet Valentine's Day card for those who didn't want to use the traditional red hearts and sentiment.
