Last October 2, Melissa Lane (https://honeybeelane.wordpress.com) passed away. She was a talented cardmaker/crafter/artist, a mother of 4, wife, and servant of Jesus. Melissa loved to garden and she loved photography. Her favorite color was red, and she loved butterflies -- so much so that many of the cards and other projects she made had butterflies in them.

She was a valuable part of STAMPlorations -- in the two years we were blessed to have her on the Mixed Media team, she created some of most gorgeous mixed media projects around and she shared her knowledge through the mixed media tutorials she wrote.

If you knew Melissa when she was alive -- maybe you were on the same design team(s) or you were bloggy friends -- however you knew her, we would love it if you can join us in celebrating her life by creating a butterfly card in her memory.

Hi everyone!!!!

I am excited to be back with another art journaling video today! I used watercolors this time to create a background in autumn colours. I've added some gold texture paste with one of my favourite stencils at the moment the Leaves 2 designed by Sanna Lippert. You will see everything I did in my video! Enjoy watching!

Hi STAMP peeps! Well Autumn is certainly in the air in my neck of the woods, but I couldn't resist giving the latest Stamp Club set a touch of rainbow colors. Wanna see?

At first glance you might think I did some ink blending. But I didn't. Let's see how I made this card.

October Mixed Media Challenge

Hello, fellow creatives! The girls in the Mixed Media team are back with a brand new challenge.

First, though, I have sad news. On October 2, our very own Melissa Lane passed away. Our team is still coming to terms with this sudden loss -- Melissa was one of the most creative souls I've been so blessed to know. I also admired her strength and how she loved Jesus. We'll miss her terribly. I am already missing her. One thing about her -- she always worked ahead. In fact, she had all her design team projects for October done/uploaded, including her mixed media tutorial and she even made extra projects for the challenges. It makes it all the more bittersweet knowing after this month, we'll no longer see the results of her God-given talents. If you are so moved, please take a moment to say a prayer for her family -- that they might find comfort in their time of grief. Melissa left behind a husband and four children. We will be doing a special post in her memory and to celebrate her life this month. Melissa was known to and was friends with many crafters outside of our design team so our tribute post will be something that anyone who knew her can take part of as well. We'll have more details regarding this soon.)
