{Preview} ARTSY BORDERS + Sample Inspiration Projects

Hey, STAMPlorations friends! Today I'm excited to give a preview of the new stamps coming to the shop beginning April 8. They're called Artsy Borders. Monika and I (Shery) are sharing a few projects we made using these stamps. Well, it's actually a lot -- we got a little carried away, as you'll see, especially Monika ;o)

I came up with these artsy border stamps out of a need: I love masking, but I wanted a way to quickly create something (especially when I don't have a lot of time to spare) where I wouldn't need to do a lot of masking and still get that artsy collage look. I played around with some images, starting with ones that were already stamps, and used them to create border stamps. And you all know me...I love grunge, artsy, distressed backgrounds and all that, so I added in some newsprint, sheet music, the works...and we've got four to start off this fun line of stamps:

Whew! As you've seen, the Artsy Borders can be used in many ways (as backgrounds, accents, focal image) in a variety of styles (CAS, graphic, mixed media, one layer) and techniques (embossing, watercoloring, inlaid die-cutting, spotlighting).

Artsy Borders will be available in the shop starting April 8. However, they're already available to stamp club subscribers. These stamps are the new stamp club perk I mentioned in my post here. Stamp club subscribers get one of these border stamps free every 3rd time they renew their subscription or they can pick these stamps instead of the usual 5x7 stamp set. (By the way, the stamp club subscription price will increase on April 15, but current stamp club subscribers will stay locked in at the current price and get to enjoy all the perks, old and new, without extra cost.)

Hope you enjoyed looking at the cards that Monika and I created to show off the fun addition to the shop! We will be adding more Artsy Borders soon! Which one's your favorite?

Happy stamping!
