{Spotlight Project} Becca Does Heavy Metal

It's a blizzard! Here in North Dakota we FINALLY have some snow on the ground and I celebrated by holing up in my craft studio and playing with my favorite thing - GLITTER.

Today I'm going to show you how I made this textured metallic background to create a one-of-a-kind holiday showstopper.

I took a piece of heavyweight cardstock and covered it with silver Texture Luxe by Faber Castell.

Next, I used a heat tool to dry the paste, allowing it to bubble and crack in areas.

I added a layer of pearl Texture Luxe through the ARTplorations Confetti Circles stencil

And then I sprinkled it with GLITTER!!!

I embossed the wreath from the Joyful stamp set and colored it in with Spectrum Noir markers.

I stamped a sentiment using some of the words from the set to finish out my look.

Eep! So little time to write in these babies and send them off!

If this card inspires you to try a new technique, link it up in the Spotlight Gallery.
