bold colors & vintage vibes | Walter's pop art collage card

Walter is back with another inspiring project featuring his July Paper Goods Subscription selections. Inspired by the bold, colorful artwork of Andy Warhol, Walter combined four different paper goods collections to create a vibrant collage with a fun retro pop art vibe. The finished card tells the story of two people with a whole lot of love for each other while showcasing just how versatile our paper goods can be.

Mixing Four Paper Goods Collections

For this project, Walter combined products from four different paper goods collections:

• Retro People ATC
• Junk Journal Collage Card Fronts
• Color Me Blooms Colorables
• Analog Grunge Collage Papers

Each one brings something different to the design: The Retro People ATC becomes the focal point. The Junk Journal Collage Card Front provides the vintage foundation. The Analog Grunge Paper adds layers of colorful texture, while the hand-colored flowers from the Color Me Blooms Colorables soften the bold graphic look with a touch of nature.

The Finishing Touches

Walter added the Clustered Hearts CUTplorations die and a sentiment from the A Full Heart stamp set to complete the design. The dimensional heart sentiment reinforces the card's theme, while a few clear embellishments add just the right amount of sparkle without distracting from the colorful collage. Little details like these help tie the entire composition together.

A Card Full of Personality

One of my favorite things about this project is how every layer has its own purpose.

• The vintage papers create texture.
• The bright colors add energy.
• The hand-colored flowers ground the design.
• And the retro illustration immediately draws your eye to the center of the card.

Despite combining so many different elements, the finished piece feels balanced and cohesive.

Fun Vintage Inspiration with Walter’s July Paper Goods Picks!

Hello, friends! We are so excited to share a gorgeous project from the talented Walter Zemrock today. He has put together a stunning, vintage-inspired creation using elements from his July Paper Goods VIP subscription package, and it is full of beautiful texture and story-telling details.

Walter designed a fun vintage Triple Tag Card Fun Fold Card that stands up beautifully to display its dimensional layers. The project perfectly blends a variety of textures and illustrations to tell the sweet story of a woman, a man, and good times spent together.

For this design, Walter combined several items from his July Paper Goods picks:

• Analog Grunge Paper and Junk Journal Collage A2 Card Fronts provide the perfect layered, text-filled vintage backgrounds.

• Retro People ATC feature the striking vintage portraits of the man on the left and the woman on the right.

• Color Me Spring Blooms Colorables adds a beautiful pop of soft pink floral color right down the center panel.

To finish off the construction and sentiment, he used the Curly Labels/Tags Nesting Dies to frame the panels and the gold-toned Good Times Die split across the left and right tags. The finished card measures 5.25” wide by 5.25” high when collapsed, designed to fit perfectly into a 5x7 envelope.
