Hello friends! Deepti here and welcome to another spotlight feature. Today I am sharing how to use your mixed media stamps to create colorful backgrounds. So, here's a look into the finished card...
STEP 1
I started out by inking the striped stamp from
Mixed Media Grunge with distress ink, spritzing it with water and stamping it on water color paper. I repeated the process with 3 different inks.
STEP 2
Next I spritzed some more water on the stamped panel to merge the background in some areas. Once dried, I did some tone on tone stamping using the text stamp from the same set set.
STEP 3
STEP 4
Finally, I colored the flowers same as the base color. To add dimension, I did some coloring with grey tones along the edges of the flowers. To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from
Fond Expressions 2.
Here's a closeup of the card :)
That finishes my spotlight feature :) I hope you enjoyed it and will give this a try. Happy paper crafting!
