Hello! I'm continuing with my quest to use up the many background panels in my stash.
I came across these two and thought they'd look great with sheep.
In my stash of stamped images I found two sheep from
BaaBaa, and just added a bit of shading with a Tombow pen.
The first background looked like a hill.
I sponged some Tumbled Glass ink at the top of the panel for sky, and Peeled Paint to fill in the gap in the lower left portion.
I stamped some flowers from
Big Dreamer and coloured them in. I also had the
Skinny Sentiments phrase in my stash. I put it all together and made this card:
I'd previously abandoned this next panel because I didn't like the sludgy colour on the right.
After I added some colour to the rest of the white space it looked like it was a garden ready to be invaded by a sheep.
And there she is, balancing on the diecut
Skinny Sentiments word :)
So don't give up on those odd-looking backgrounds, one day they'll be just what you're looking for!

ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite game--finding pieces in my stash that were discarded from another project but are just what I am looking for in a current project! LOVE how you used your bits and pieces to create these fun cards!
ReplyDeleteCute cards with these backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteLove this. Sheep are always a winner. I'm actually using up old, discarded backgrounds myself at the moment - and stamped images. I have a box filled with them! This is a great inspiration. Thanks.
