{Trifecta Cardmaking} Creative Cards for Kids

Happy Sunday, STAMPlorations friends! We are back with our newest feature here on the blog: Trifecta Cardmaking. It's where you'll see how the three S's in our line -- stamps, stencils, and stickers -- play well in cardmaking. Guest designer Sue Symens is back with a trio of cards that are perfect for the little ones in your life -- young kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, school kids (if you're a teacher), even the neighborhood kids!

Make sure you comment on this post for a chance at a $15 prize code. Every month, we draw 7 winners, with the winners randomly drawn from all posts published during the month. The more posts you comment on, the more chances you have.

And here's a nice bonus: we bundled up the products that Sue used in her cards: Big Robots Kit - 5 products for just $19.99 + free US shipping.

Hey there! I am up in today's Trifecta Cardmaking feature -- three cards using stamps, stencils, and clear stickers. This concept is always a challenge for me with my CAS heart <LOL>. But I love a great challenge! My goal for these posts is to vary the way in which I use these products.

This fun Big Robots set was one I ordered for my grandkids. I have very few children's sets and I figured this would help me work on my coloring skills too.

Using a white panel I stamped one of the big robots and the greetings in black ink then colored him with alcohol markers. Creating a mask, I covered the robot and stenciled the green Arrow Which Way over the top. I added a die cut heart, rounded the corners and added some Stickles. Using a green card base I added two Newspaper Background Bits #1 stickers to the left edge. After rounding the corners of the green card base I mounted the stamped panel to the card base with foam tape.

The next card uses the Big Robots again stamped on a white panel with black ink and colored with alcohol markers. I masked the robot and blended light gray ink with the Placid stencil over the top. I then die cut a heart from the Newspaper Background Bits #1 sticker and colored it red with a alcohol marker. After placing the sticker down I used glossy accents over the top of the sticker. Finally I trimmed the panel and added to a red card base.

I started with the robot stamped in black ink and colored him with alcohol markers. Then repeat stamped the greeting in light blue ink staggering off the side of the white panel. I then covered the robot with glossy accents and put aside to dry. Using a royal blue card base and matching ink, I stenciled the Arrow Which Way across the base of the card. Then mounting the Inspirational 2 clear sticker on yellow card stock and trimming it into a sentiment strip. Then taking the robot panel, trimming it down and adding a yellow strip of card stock the panel was attached to the stenciled card front.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join me next month to check out the next addition of Trifecta Cardmaking.

  2. What a great set of cards. The post office here in the U.S. is letting us pre-order stamps of the robots in all of the Star Wars movies. They are great. I can't wait to get them. [Bunny]
