Paper Goods Showcase | Blushing Blooms + Color Me Blooms with Stephanie

Sometimes one project can give you the color inspiration for the next. That's exactly what STAMPgirl Stephanie did with these two cards, starting with an ATC from the Blushing Blooms ATC pack and then using its colors and shading as inspiration for a Color Me Blooms Spring Florals card front.

Start with an ATC

For her first card, Stephanie used one of the ATCs from the Blushing Blooms ATC pack as the focal point. The painted floral design already brings plenty of color and detail to the card, so she kept the rest of the design focused on supporting it.

Behind the ATC, she created a layered background using the Abstract Oats stencil and Found Fragments #3 stamp. The combination adds pattern and texture without competing with the flowers. She finished the card with a sentiment from the Inspirational #1 clear sticker pack, giving her a quick way to add a meaningful message without taking attention away from the artwork.

Let One Project Inspire the Next

For her second card, Stephanie reached for a Color Me Blooms Spring Florals card front. Instead of treating the printed design as something that needed to be colored from scratch with a completely separate palette, she looked back at the ATC from her first card and used its colors and shading as inspiration.

I love that connection between the two projects. The card front gave her the beautiful floral composition, while the first project gave her a ready-made color direction. The result is a completely different card, but you can still see the relationship between the two.

She finished it with a sentiment from the Hey Sunshine clear sticker pack, another simple way to add a polished sentiment without having to stamp and trim one separately.
