CASEplorations June

Welcome to the June installation of CASEplorations. Did you see the beautiful entries in last month's gallery - WOW! And did you notice we're now coming to you on the 5th? We decided to take some of the load off your reader on the 1st of the month ;) You'll see the new CASEplorations post on the fifth of each month from now on.

But trust me, it was worth waiting. We have the sweetest of cards for you to CASE this month and it's from the sweetest gal. Certainly you know Shelly Kurth of Simply Sweet Greetings! I've always loved Shelly's Ć¼ber-CAS creations. Nowadays you see her all over blogland. She's currently designing for Little Tangles, Waffle Flower and Jillian Vance. Get ready to delight in this card of hers from a year ago, made for a "wedding" challenge.

Beautifully elegant, isn't it? But it wouldn't have to be for a wedding. The elements - pastels, gold, circle, flowers, black handwritten sentiment, bow - could work well for other occasions too.

Here's what Shelly created for us, CASEing herself.

Notice how she's still used the gold, the circle, the flower off-the-edge. But this card has a completely different look to it with the off-center focal point and that delicate frame peeking out from behind the circle. Lovely card, Shelly. Don't you just love seeing how people interpret CASEing?!?!

Want to learn a little more about Shelly?

I asked this Florida gal, mother of four "What are your non-cardmaking hobbies?"
"Surfing/skim boarding, laying in the sun, listening to music, working out (yes, working out :)), playing mini golf, and overall spending time with my family."

I bet playing mini-golf with four kids is a real trip. I can't even handle myself when the darn windmill arm blocks the hole every time I make my shot...

So back to CASEing. What would you choose to CASE from Shelly's card? Take a look at what the DT has created and then join us with your CASE during the month of June, won't you?

We'll vote for a winner from the June gallery to receive a $15 gift certificate to the STAMPlorations store OR a 3x5 stamp set and two runners up to receive a $5 gift certificate. Are you ready to play?

We'd love to see your projects in the gallery below. Please check out the challenge rules here. The linky is open until the end of the day June 30th. Hope to see you here.
