{Spotlight Project} Cornelia Colors Kraft Card

Hi, Cornelia here today, coloring a Kraft card.

My stamp supplies:

My inspiration found on Instagram:

My pencils:

I selected a suitable stencil and outlined the pattern with a Micro Fineliner pen. I secured the card and stencil with Washi tape, to not inadvertently move it.

I then took my Prismacolor pencils and started to color in the smaller triangles with mostly 3, but occasionally 4 matching ombre colors.

I blended them with Turpentine, but you could also use Gamsol -no real difference between the two - just use what you have. If you don't have any, no problem, the difference between blended and unblended is subtle. In the end I got lazy and stopped the blending and I bet you can't tell the difference....

I decided to make this into a birthday card, since I am basically out of those. Since I am lazy I took fun foam to cut the happy - so much better than cutting black cardstock a gazillion times adn glueing it together....It mails beautifully, too.

I snug the tiny "birthday" in between. I don't really like that the stencil does not fill an A2 card side to side, so I trimmed the sides a bit. Mounted it onto black card stock.

I still wan not totally happy and mulled over to add sequins or enamel dots. In the end (did I mention that I am lazy?) I added black splatters. Done. Happy!

I hope I inspired you to get out your pencils and color on Kraft.
