{Spotlight Project} Maria Focuses On The Tiniest Images In A Set

Hello there STAMP friends!  Back with another Spotlight tutorial using the Stamp Club stamp, Bloomful.  Today I'm looking at those tiny images that are often included in stamp sets. You can use them if you're random stamping a background or creating a bouquet or wreath. Or you can make a card spotlighting them in all their (tiny) glory!  Here's my card.

STEP 1
Gathered my supplies - MISTI, white pigment ink, Versamark ink, Bloomful stamp set, Prismacolor colored pencils (including white) and a kraft cardbase and snippet.

STEP 2
Lined up the flowers and sentiment spacing them the way I wanted them to be on my card. Picked them up with the MISTI door.

STEP 3
Then I removed the sentiment from the MISTI door. I put some temporary adhesive on the kraft snippet and aligned it under the two flower stamps that were left on the door. Put a magnet in the empty space too to make sure the snippet wouldn't move. Stamped with white pigment ink.

STEP 4
Keeping the snippet adhered to the cardbase I colored over each image completely with my white pencil. This provides a good base so that the colored pencils then have much more vibrancy.

STEP 5
I knew I needed a good pop of color to bring this CAS card to life. I opted for two different color schemes for the flowers, one orange and one bright blue. I colored over the white images. You can see how I tried to get a little bit of color variation on the tiny images.

STEP 6
Next I put my card back into my MISTI and the sentiment back into place between the flowers, picked it up with the MISTI door and inked all three stamps with black Versafine and stamped. Not sure if the open time would be long enough for the embossing powder to stick, I stamped the images again using Versamark.

STEP 7
Heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Here's the finished product. I added a snippet of turquoise cardstock under the little kraft panel and then a few sweet enamel dots to bring in even more of those lovely bright colors.
