{Stencil Sunday} Nancy Creates Artsy Bookmarks

Happy Sunday, STAMPlorations friends! We're continuing with the Stencil Sunday reboot that we started last week! On the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of the month, the STAMPgirls will be sharing their projects that show off how to creatively use ARTplorations stencils. If you missed last week's post, it's here.

Today STAMPgirl Nancy shows off 4 artsy bookmarks she made. And each month, we'll be picking one winner of a $15 gift code -- the winner will be drawn from all comments left on the Stencil Sunday posts for the month, as well as from the designers' blogs.

And here's Nancy with her projects:

BOOKMARKS #1 and #2

Sponged Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink onto 2 1/4" x 6" Strathmore 140# Mixed Media Paper.

Placed Fairy Tale Forest stencil over sponged bookmark and secured stencil with masking tape. Then sponged with Shaded Lilac DOX ink.

Showing the shine from the heat embossed sentiment and Fairy Tale Forest stenciled image on the first bookmark.

I could not waste all the Shaded Lilac DOX ink on the stencil from the first bookmark. What's a girl to do...make a Monoprint image, of course:-)

I finished the first two 2 1/2" x 6" bookmarks with heat embossing, cardstock frame, and ribbon.

BOOKMARKS #3 and #4

Sponged bookmarks using Distress Inks instead of DOX Inks and used a different design than my first two bookmarks.

I used two of the ATC Tag Builders dies to diecut the top and bottom of bookmark. Then stenciled the tag using the Weaving stencil and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks.

I used the new Bloomdala #4 and Bloomdala #14 small masks, sponging with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink.

Stamped sentiment and heat embossed both 2" x 5 3/4" bookmarks. Fun projects playing with ARTploration stencils and masks :-)

Those are some pretty bookmarks, aren't they? For a chance to win a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store, leave a comment here and on Nancy's blog by April 5. We'll announce the winner in the March winners post on April 10.

Did you enjoy today's featured post? Come back next because STAMPgirl Terri will be back to share two more projects.
