{Spotlight Project} Shirley Creates Baby Backgrounds With Bloomdala Bliss

Hello peeps! I'm currently in baby mode, having just become a grandmother for the first time, although neither of these two cards is for my new grandchild and his parents :)

I thought a couple of the mandalas from Bloomdala Bliss would work nicely as background stamps so I made a pink version and a blue version. I started with the blue one, randomly stamping over the panel, which was going to be trimmed down later.

I die cut elephant and balloon shapes from Distress Oxide smooshed glossy card, tied some embroidery floss around the balloon and attached it to the elephant's trunk. On a separate piece of card I stamped the sentiment from Heaven Sent.

I made a similar background with a different image using pink ink,

then added giraffe and balloon die cuts and a sentiment from Heaven Sent.

Here's what I used:

  1. Many congratulations on becoming a grandmother x Thank you for the adorable creations and the fabulous inspiration and love how you did the backgrounds x

  2. These cards are so sweet...like the silhouettes in these soft colors. tfs

  3. Adorable baby cards from an excited new Grandma. Congratulations, Shirley. Hugs..

  4. Congrats on becoming a grandmother - how exciting! Lovely cards, perfectly sweet.

  5. Gorgeous cards for a new parent! And congrats on being a new grandmother! Hugs,Tee

  6. What sweet cards, and great use of the stamps for the background
