{Spotlight Project} Monika Creates A Layered Flower

Hello STAMPlorations Friends! I am a sort of continuing the series of cards using a coloured card base. For today's card, I've been playing with the newest Stamp Club set Bloomdala Bliss. The stamps really lend themselves to do a bit of fuzzy cutting and layering, have a look.

Tying in with the Spring Fling event, I wanted to give my card a floral feel. Here is how I did it.



Using black Versafine ink and mixed media card, I simply stamped out one of the stamps several times, one more than I intended to use, just in case my colouring wasn't going to work out.

I coloured the images using brush markers, fuzzy cut and slightly shaped my layers. The shaping softens the edges and helps with a smooth transition from one layer to another.

I added a few thin foam pads to the reverse and layered my flower by adding a spot of glue to adhere in the centres.

I stamped one of the smaller Bloomdala Bliss stamps in green on my yellow base card, added my flower and sentiment and finished off by outlining each layer with a touch of Wink Of Stella.
