{Digital Wednesday} Von Marie Watercolors Digital Stamps

Happy Wednesday! It's the day before Thanksgiving here in the US and we have another Digital Wednesday post featuring another talented guest designer, Von Marie Cervantes, sharing projects that put the spotlight on our digital stamps for the next three months. Make sure you comment on this post for a chance at a $15 prize code. Every month, we draw 7 winners, with the winners randomly drawn from all posts published during the month. The more posts you comment on, the more chances you have.

Here's Von Marie with her gorgeous watercolor projects:

Hi everyone! Von Marie here from Vonmariedesign and I am so happy to be guest designing today. I have a trio of projects using digital stamps. I used Fluttery Garden A2 card fronts and Cupful of Blooms that I watercolored.

For this card I chose to use the Fluttery Garden A2 card fronts digital stamp. I first printed this beautiful A2 card front onto 110lb watercolor paper. I love the butterflies so much. I then colored it in with my Karin Markers, Silver Black Velvet water brush, and water. I like to grab my marker and lay some color onto a stamping block and grab water and color to my liking. I then added some gold metallic paint and added it in parts on my flowers and butterflies. I also added some matching blue plaint splatters to my panel for interest.

I cut out my panel with a rectangle die from stash and cut out blue cardstock with a larger rectangle to layer. I then grabbed a gold doily and layered it also. I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment from the Bloomfully Thankful stamp set with glittered gold embossing powder. I glued everything to a A2 black card base. My watercolored panel was then added with foam tape and Iridescent sequins.

On this card I used again another image from the Fluttery Garden A2 Card Fronts digital stamp set. I printed it also on 110lb paper. I colored it also with my Karin Markers. I added gold metallic paint on the centers of my flowers. I flicked some pink water droplets onto my pane with my paintbrush. I chose to fussy cut around the flowers and attached it to my negative part of my panel. I added foam tape to the back of my flowers for dimension. I layered my panel with black and gold cardstock and added it to a black card base.

I stamped my sentiment with black ink onto the same watercolor paper from the Bloomfully Thankful stamp set and layered it with black cardstock before adhering to my card. I then added gold glitter enamel dots.

On my final project, I used the Cupful of Blooms and printed again on the same watercolor 110lb paper. I used my Karin markers but with a different color palette. I love the blooms in this image. I ink blended around the image with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink. I love purples.

I then used the Manila Tags Nesting dies with the second to largest die and cut my watercolored image out. I then layered it with purple textured cardstock that I cut out with the same tag die. I glued them together and then stamped my sentiment again from Bloomfully Thankful. Lastly, I added sequins and purple seam binding for my tag.

I hope you like my watercolored projects for today. I will be back next month with another trio of projects to share. I had a lot of fun with these.

Thanks so much!

Von Marie

  2. These are very pretty. I would like to use digital stamps, but I don't have a laser printer. My ink jet smears the inks and makes them all sort of gray....Yours are really pretty.
