{Mixed Media Tutorial} Tiffany's "Inspire" Mixed Media Art Journal Page

Happy Friday, STAMPlorations friends! Guest designer Tiffany Johnson is back with a mixed media tutorial for creating an inspiring mixed media art journal page. Make sure you comment on this post for a chance at a $15 prize code. Every month, we draw 7 winners, with the winners randomly drawn from all posts published during the month. The more posts you comment on, the more chances you have.

Hi! It's Tiffany (Tiffany Johnson Creative) and I'm excited to share this mixed media art journal page with you. I jumped into my art journal with some acrylic paint, a plastic gift card, black ink, stencils & stamps from STAMPlorations.

I started out by swiping some neon yellow and white paint onto the page with an old gift card. I dipped the card in both colors and swiped it in alternating directions on the page to create a quick light background.

Using the Art Splatters stencil, I blotted neon orange, blue, and green paint through the stencil with my finger (you could use a cosmetic sponge for a neater option).  Moving the stencil around the page & alternating the bright colors created a fun paint splattered look.

Using the Art Marks stamp set, and black ink, I stamped ink splotches, arrows, doodled circles,  and the word "Inspire" onto the journal page.

I used the black ink pad and rubbed it lightly around the edges of the page to create a black distressed border around the page.

Using a typewriter font on the computer, I created some word strips to go with the word "inspire" that was stamped on the page earlier. Once I printed them and cut them out, I glued them down in place with a glue stick.

Using a black micron pen, I loosely doodled a border around the word strips and the word "inspire".

"Inspire to play, Inspire to create, Inspire to be free". I hope this page inspires you to play creatively and create something fun in your art time!!!

Many blessings!!!!  See you soon!
