{Mixed Media Tutorial} Mixed Media Canvas by Susanne

Hi everyone. It's Susanne writing today and I'd like to share a mixed media canvas tutorial.

Start with a blank canvas and some gelli prints on deli paper.

Cut the prints into strips and adhere them to the canvas with Gel Medium.

Use the "Delicate Links" stencil together with texture paste. Add silver embossing enamel immediately to the wet paste. Let it dry.

Melt the powder with your heat tool.

Add a layer of gesso.

Add color with liquid watercolors. I add a few drops of paint to the canvas and sprayed it with water.

Paint the edges of the canvas with a black Gelato and give it some texture with the "Dots all over" stencil.

You'll get some more texture with the "Trendy Birds" and the "Art Marks" stamp set.

Cut a heart from cardstock and cover it with crackle paste. Let it dry.

Color it with fluorescent acrylic paints. Let it dry.

Add a layer of black gesso on top of the heart and wipe it away immediately with some wet baby wipes.

Take a piece of patterned paper, crinkle it and spray it with some light brown colorations spray.

The wings are glittered with teal glitter. I used double sided tape on top of the cardstock before I cut the shape. Arrange the embellishments on the canvas and glue it down.

Thank you for stopping by today.
xx Susanne.
