{Spotlight Project} Deepti Lets the Butterflies Take Flight

Hello, friends! Deepti here and welcome to another spotlight feature. I wanted to use the butterfly from the Gone Postal stamp club set and butterfly always call for something pretty :) So, here's the finished project:

STEP 1
I created a mask using the post it note.

STEP 2
Next I stamped the postal stamp outline stamp on watercolor cardstock along with the butterfly.

STEP 3
I masked the focal postal stamp and stamped the rest of the butterflies with a couple off the edge to indicate flight :) I also did some text stamping to add more interest into the background.

STEP 4
I did some watercoloring of the butterflies and the background was done using wet on dry watercoloring technique :)

Here is a closeup...

That finishes my spotlight feature :) I hope you enjoyed it and will give this a try.  Happy paper crafting!

Remember, if you try out any of the techniques from our Spotlight posts and add your project to our Spotlight Project Showcase you have a chance to win a $15 gift certificate (random drawing) OR your choice of 5x7 stamp set + a Spotlight Project guest designer spot (randomly drawn from the Top 3 picks).
