{Mixed Media Tutorial} Believe in Yourself Video by Tanja

Hi there, it's Tanja here for you with another video tutorial. This time I am going to show you how to create this Art Journal Page:

  • cover an art journal page cut from extra sturdy watercolor paper with white gesso
  • create a background using Dylusions Paints (Lemon Zest, Squeezed Orange, Fresh Lime)
  • apply Dylusions Paint (Lemon Zest) through the ARTplorations Bubble Dance stencil and Dylusions Paint (Fresh Lime) through the ARTplorations Botanical Lush stencil
  • stamp the script from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set with Memento Luxe (Morocco) and the little paint splatters from the STAMPlorations Art Marks set with Memento Luxe (Tuxedo Black) for more texture
  • draw in some flower shapes with a black Fude Ball Pen and cover the rest of the page with black gesso - smudge the edges with a baby wipe
  • sketch in some outlines with a white Dylusions Paint Pen and add handwriting with a white gel pen
  • water down some white gesso and add some splatters
  • ink up the edges with embossing ink and heat-emboss them with Zing! embossing powder (Butter, Leaf)
  • use a sticker from the Ideaology Small Talk set as the sentiment

I hope you got inspired.

Yours,

    3. loved the video, thank you. Such a clever technique and brave to paint the black gesso over the background but wow what a fabulous effect!
