{Mixed Media Tutorial} Quick Tags by MariLynn

Sometimes I work for hours doing mixed media and sometimes I want to make something fast. I have a fast project for you today.

I started with white cardstock. I die cut two tags using CUTplorations TAG O COFFEE die.

I used cheap water soluble markers and ARTplorations CURVE PLAY stencil. I traced along the edges of the stencil. I used mostly blues.

Then I used more markers and ARTplorations EMANATIONS stencil. I used green this time.

I moved the EMANATIONS stencil and did blue markers again.

Here is what it looked like after I traced the two stencils. It kinda looks like a mess at this point doesn't it?

Here is where the fun kicks in. I sprayed the tag with water.

While the tag was still really wet, I placed the second tag on top and pushed them together.

When I separated the tags. I noticed that the right lower corner on the left tag needed more spraying. So I sprayed more water and pressed the tags together again.

Here is how it looked after I sprayed it the second time.

The hardest part of this project was waiting for the tags to dry. If you are impatient like me, you can use a heat gun or a hair dryer to dry the tags faster.

Then I stamped on the tags using black stazon ink and TRENDY BIRDS and TRENDY BIRDS 2
