{Spotlight Project} Monika Dry Embosses On Vellum

Hello STAMPlorations Friends! I've been playing with vellum the other day and thought I'd try my hand at dry embossing a mandala stamp from the newest Stamp Club set Bloomdala Bliss for a lace like look.

Here is today's make:

These are the steps showing how my card came together:

You'll need a piece of die-cut vellum with a matching frame of a size fitting your chosen image.

I used the Pierced Curly Frames/Tags Nesting Dies to cut mine.

Using your stamping tool, align your stamp inside the frame.

I used the left over from die-cutting my frame and place the vellum in first and the frame on top, securing it all with the magnets.

Pick it up with the lid and stamp it using white Craft ink and allow to dry.

Once dry, collect some embossing tools of various sizes and place the stamped image upside down on a soft stamping mat.

Using one of the smaller tools, trace the white outline of the stamped image from the reverse using light pressure only.

Please note, for my photographs I turned the image around to show what it looks like from the front. All the embossing is done on the reverse side.

Use one of the larger tools to fill in some of the shapes as shown.

Again, using a small tool and very light pressure, add some detail to the central leaf pattern.

Add some more detail.

Add the frame and layer on your base card.

And finish off with a stamped sentiment and glimmer dot.
