{Stencil Sunday} Chris Plays with Faces!

Hey, everyone! We are back with another helping of Stencil Sunday goodness! On the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of the month, the STAMPgirls will be sharing with you their projects that show off how to creatively use ARTplorations stencils. And each month, we'll pick one winner of a $15 gift code -- the winner will be drawn from all comments left on the Stencil Sunday posts for the month, as well as from the designers' blogs.

Kicking off this month's Stencil Sunday feature is STAMPgirl Chris, who had a little fun playing with one of the Faces stencils.

Here's Chris with her projects:

Hi everyone and happy Sunday! I'd like to show you just how versatile these stencils are. Using the Faces - Grace, Dream Flower, and the Clustered Hearts ARTplorations stencils on both projects, I've created a card and an art journal page!

First up is my card:

I sketched a rough outline of the hat and shoulder area, cut out with an X-Acto knife, and used them as masks to first sponge a light blue ink. With the Clustered Hearts stencil arranged where I wanted it, I then used a darker blue ink to sponge in the design. I've added the sentiment from the Just Because stamp set to finish.

For my second project, I made an art journal page:

Remember that you can use either side of the Faces stencils, which gives you even more ways to use them. Bonus!

At this point when creating my page, I placed the Faces - Grace stencil back over where I first added it with embossing paste, then rubbed DecoArt Metallic Lustre wax using my finger. The sentiments are from the Bold Sentiments-Hashtag Authentic stamp set. More details for both projects are on my blog.

Looked like Chris had some real stencil fun and created two awesome projects. If you want a chance to win a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store, leave a comment here and on Chris' blog by May 5. We'll announce the winner in the April winners post on May 10.

Did you enjoy today's featured post? Stencil Sunday will be back next week with 4 projects from STAMPgirl Tanja!
