[Spotlight Project} Monika Makes Frames From Artsy Tribal Doodles

Hello STAMPlorations Friends! Have you ever noticed that the larger stamps from the Artsy Tribal Doodles set could make some funky frames? With a bit of masking you can have endless fun framing Pets, Little Owls (to be released shortly), the cats from Purrfectly Pawsome and the little critters from Woodland Friends.

Here is my doggy card:

It's a sort of a second take. Initially I started off wanting to be all colourful and wonky with this card here.

I started off with stamping the large square and triangle doodle on post-it notes and cutting the centre away turning them into masks for my frames. Next time I'll use larger post-it notes and stamp more in the centre. I had to use an extra one for masking to avoid stamping over the edge.

I then stamped the squares in turquoise and the triangle in yellow on my base card.

I aligned the masks with my stamped shapes and stamped my owl into the frames before removing the masks again.

Next I added my sentiment and small triangles ...

... and some partial large yellow ones.

I didn't end up with the effect I had hoped to get, somehow my card seemed to be a bit too busy.

I decided that I was probably trying to use too many colours and too many elements hence I started again with a green, purple and grey colour scheme.

One of the dogs was fuzzy cut and popped up outside the frame for a quieter and much less cluttered card.

If you feel like using Artsy Tribal Doodles to frame some critters or using one of our other Stamp Club sets or making a project using any of the techniques or ideas shared by my teamies in their Spotlight Posts, make sure to link up your makes with our spotlight project gallery here.

Artsy Tribal Doodles is one of the sets in our July sale at 40% off and can be found in the SUMMER CLEARANCE section. Use code HEYSUMMER on checkout. Code can be used only once per customer/shipping address. Ends 7/31.

That's it from me for today. Hope my little cards inspired you to get creative with doodle frames.
Have a lovely week!

hugs
