{Stencil Sunday} Swoon-Worthy CAS Cards by Carol

Happy Sunday, STAMPlorations friends! We are back with the last Stencil Sunday post for October and you're in for a treat! You'll get to see projects that show off how to creatively use ARTplorations stencils. And each month, we'll pick one winner of a $15 gift code -- the winner will be drawn from all comments left on the Stencil Sunday posts for the month, as well as from the designers' blogs.

STAMPgirl Carol had a fun play session with our stencils and mini Distress inks to create these oh-so-beautiful clean and simple cards.

Here's Carol with her projects.

Hello - Carol here, warmly welcoming you to my second Stencil Sunday post.

This go-round, I decided to re-visit Distress Inks...in their 'mini kit' forms (which was my introduction to distress inks, when I finally realized I 'needed' to have some). I figured the incredibly creative Mr. Holtz must have had a reason for combining the four inks into sets, so I set about to see if my theory was correct. Turns out: he did!

My first card uses Distress Mini Ink Kit #10 (Tattered Rose, Squeezed Lemonade, Iced Spruce, Bundled Sage) which I paired with the Flourishes stencil to make the two cards you see below. I'm having a 'crush-fest' with deep kraft cardstock, of late *grin*

For my second card, I reached for Distress Mini Ink Kit #11 (Shabby Shutters, Festive Berries, Tea Dye, Milled Lavender) and the Fairy Tale Forest stencil. I added a cardstock 'forest' frame and the 'wish' sentiment because 'fairy tales' really are all about wishes coming true, aren't they!

Distress Mini Ink Kit #12 (Brushed Corduroy, Chipped Sapphire, Aged Mahogany, Pine Needles) was my third choice and what a wonderful combination to use with one of my all-time favourite stencils - Stained Glass! Two cards emerged...

Hope my 'clean and simple' style does justice to these laden-with-possibilities stencils!

I'm completely in love with the soft colors in Carol's cards and her CAS style! What about you? For a chance to win a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store, leave a comment here and on Carol's blog by November 8. We'll announce the winner in the October winners post on November 10.
