{Stencil Sunday} Carol's Love for Leaf Prints 2

Happy Sunday, STAMPlorations friends! It's time for a new batch of stencil inspiration. You'll get to see projects that show off how to creatively use ARTplorations stencils. And each month, we'll pick one winner of a $15 gift code -- the winner will be drawn from all comments left on the Stencil Sunday posts for the month, as well as from the designers' blogs.

Today, STAMPgirl Carol is sharing not two but FOUR beautiful cards. She got a little carried away ;o)

Here's Carol with her cards:

Hello, Carol here, warming welcoming you to my Stencil Sunday post where, once again, I'm sharing some simple ways to play with the wonderful array of stencils available at the STAMPlorations store.

Fourth post and guess what: four cards to share! I didn't have that as my intention but once I started playing...well, let's just say I carried on! I even titled today's post: LOVE for Leaf Prints 2!!

Today's cards have a common design, featuring a SINGLE stencil focus, Leaf Prints 2, and the same sentiment/embellishment base, Pierced Curly Frames/Tags Nesting Dies. Other products used are: Frames and Flowers, Thank You CoffeeDragonfly Layering DiesFlutter Zen 1 Layering Dies, and Flutter Zen 2 Layering Dies.

What sets the cards apart: the techniques use to showcase the stencil. Let's begin...

Card #1
Alcohol ink background + C Gina K Glitter Gel
In real life, this is wonderfully shimmery!
Flutter Zen 2 Layering Dies butterfly in vellum

*****

Card #2
Dry embossed background, then inked with Twisted Citron DI
Dragonfly Layering Dies - dragonfly cut from gold sparkle cardstock
Pierced Curly Frames/Tags Nesting Dies, lightly dusted with Spun Sugar DI

*****

Card #3
I used a new-to-me product - Cosmic Shimmer: Opal Blaze Polish in Pink Blueberry.
It's a lovely product, easily applied with your finger tip (think 'dipping your finger into yummy icing!). Different hues depending on your paper; on black...oh myyyy!

*****

Card #4
*Had* to include yet another foiled card - this time a gorgeous Brutus Monroe foil.
After foiling the card, I used Deco Foil Transfer paper, cut the dragonfly, then foiled it as well.

One stencil; one design; four different/same looks! It's all about how you 'breathe life' into your stencils! Hope I've given you a few ideas to use your stencils in new/different ways.

Aren't those cards sunning? Which one's your favorite? For a chance to win a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store, leave a comment here and on Carol's blog by June 8. We'll announce the winner in the May winners post on June 10.

Did you enjoy today's featured post? Carol will be back in in June for more awesome stencilled projects!
