{Special Post} STAMPlorations at AAA Cards Challenge + A Giveaway

Hey, STAMPlorations friends! I'm popping by to share a few cards for the current challenge over at AAA Cards Challenge, where STAMPlorations is the sponsor! For the next couple of weeks, the challenge is to create a CAS card that's inspired by a TV show.

Let's see if you can guess the TV shows that inspired two of my cards. Guess one correctly for a chance to win one of the stamp sets I used. I'll randomly pick a winner from all the comments left with the correct answer(s). Comment by October 9 and find out if you're the lucky winner on October 10 in the September Winners post.

It was both fun and challenging trying to come up with cards and tie their designs with a TV show using the stamps I had on hand.

The hubby and I used to watch a lot of TV shows on Netflix before we had kids. Since Kathryn was born 3 years ago, we watch Netflix only after we've put our girls to bed -- if we happen to be awake at the same time and we're not too exhausted ;-)

Anyway, my first card's a real doozy...can you guess the TV show that inspired the design? The keyword here is beach. Did you guess Baywatch? Yep, that's right. Although I must admit I have never watched that show. I was a high school freshman when that show started and for some reason, the show just never appealed to me. But then when I was looking at my stamps, I was reminded of the show when I found Beach Vibes ;-)

Card #1
This card was inspired by Baywatch.

Okay, let's see if you can guess the TV shows that inspired my next two cards. I'm giving a couple of clues.

Card #2
Clue: This card was inspired by a TV show set in a fictional town in Maine, USA, for the first six seasons, with the series opener featuring the main character typing on an old typewriter. On its seventh season, the main character moved to New York City.
Prize: Hello You stamp set

Card #2
Clue: This card was inspired by a period sitcom that focused on the lives of six teenage friends in a fictional town in Wisconsin during the 1970s.
Prize: Groovy Platform Shoes stamp set

Many thanks to Jane and the AAA Card Challenge design team for having me and STAMPlorations for this challenge! Please head on over to the challenge blog and play :o)

And have you checked out our two blog hops? There are prizes up for grabs and they both end on October 5!

And last...we have a Christmas special sale where stamps and dies in the Christmas Thin Metal Dies and 2018 Christmas Release are 10% off automatically.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  1. I see Baywatch ;-) thank you for your gorgeous cards and for being our sponsor once again at AAA cards

  2. Oh this is so much fun! Thanks for being our sponsor at AAA Cards and also for joining in with such a fabulous extra little competition.

  3. Card 2 with the typewriter could be 'Haven' and the shoe one 'That 70's Show"

  4. Baywatch with the beach scene and Cinderella with the shoe

  5. Hmmm, not so hot on American shows. I was wondering Murder She Wrote for the typewriter. The second one has me temporarily stumped. Happy Days?? Fun cards and game. Hugz

  6. A guess from across the pond(!!) - Typewriter - Murder She Wrote and Shoe - 'That 70's Show'(we had a UK version called Days Like These I think!)

  7. Murder She Wrote for the typewriter - loved that show! :) Wished I could take a tour of her house... And That 70's Show for the shoe. Guessed Baywatch for your flip flop before I read your description. How fun!

  8. I loved Murder, She Wrote! It was a great show. The 2nd one is That 70's Show, although I never watched it. Great CAS design on your cards, Shery.

  9. Super cute! I am guessing Murder She wrote and Baywatch

  10. Great cards. I'm guessing murder she wrote and that 70s show. Thanks for the reminders!

  11. Fabulous CAS cards! The shoe has got to be That 70's Show (really creative with their title, weren't they?!).

  12. Thank you for sponsoring us at AAA Cards. Your cards are so much fun! =) Tracie

  13. Murder, She Wrote and That 70's Show? Either way, love the simple layouts with a pop of color!

  14. Wonderful cards Shery, and the only movies I can think of is Happy Feet!

  15. Oh my - not sure about any of these shows except Baywatch (I would have guessed Happy feet if you hadn't given us a clue lol!!)
The other cards could be 'murder she wrote' and 'Happy Days'

  16. Cute cards! Love the typewriter which suits Murder She Wrote. Not sure about the others.

  17. Great cards. I am guessing Murder She Wrote and That '70s Show.

  18. Wow! How fun!!!
I like this kind of challenge!!!
Card #1 Murder, She Wrote (In Italy its known as "La signora in giallo")
    Card #2: That 70's Show

  19. Great cards - super inspiration for our challenge! Thanks for being our sponsor at AAA Cards this fortnight!
I'm not very good with TV shows, but maybe Baywatch for the first card, Murder She Wrote and That 70's Show for the third one? I've never seen the 70's show, but it was the only show I could think of when I read your clues!

    1. And I just saw that you have already said that the first card was inspired by Baywatch! Not sure how I missed that when I read your post the first time!!

  20. Wonderful cards! So clean & graphic & fabulous! As for my guesses.....Murder She Wrote and That 70's Show. Both great shows!

  21. Cute cards! The typewriter card was inspired by “Murder She Wrote” and the platform shoe card was inspired by “That 70’s Show.”
