In today's post, the talented
Karen Hasheck shares FIVE gorgeous cards and a video where you can watch her create a double stenciled tag card!
Here is Karen with her cards:
Happy Stencil Sunday everyone! I am
Karen Hasheck of Karen's Kreative Kards and I am once again honored to be the guest designer for Stencil Sunday! I had so much fun doubling up my ARTplorations stencils that I created five cards and a video where you can see all of them and how I made a double stenciled tag card!
Here is a link to the new video and this is a peak of the front and inside of the double stenciled tag card:
As I show in the video, I started with the largest of the CUTlorations Stitched Tags and cut a folded piece of cardstock with the cut line on the folded side not cutting to form a tag card that opens with a pocket for a gift card or special note. I chose two colors of ink that blend well and stenciled both the Just Plaid and Plaid Maker stencils on the front for that fun colorful look. I also double stenciled the Celebrate Big die and added some stenciling with the Just Plaid stencil to the inside pocket and little tag. I also show how easy it is to add fun stenciled color to a white ribbon. The "Happy, Happy" on the tag was cut with a Happy Birthday die in the Everyday Sentiments die set and I used a clear sticker from Just Everyday Greeting Clear Stickers for my message on the pocket.

I never have enough masculine cards and I created these masculine cards so easily with double and triple layers of ARTplorations stencils! I feature the Christmas Reindeer stencils on both of these cards so you can see it is not just for Christmas! I started the blue card by brushing blue ink through the Just Plaid stencil and then cutting three layers with the Crazy Running Double Stitch rectangle dies. I added a sunset of inks through the buck head and stamped several floral stems using stamps from the Beautiful You stamp set. The square card on the right features a stenciled square frame created with Monica Skinner's Square Flexi-Template stencil, Sanna Lippert's Barley stencil and a brown stenciled buck. "Soar High" is a clear sticker from the New Day Clear Sticker set.

Adding various mediums and textures through stencils makes for gorgeous easy textured cards! The "kudos" card features Maker Forte Klaidescope Powders through the
Open Blooms stencil on the top layer and Nuvo Plum Glimmer Paste on the bottom layer.
"Kudos" is part of a stamp and die set available here.
I used many ARTplorations stencils on the mixed media slimline card and you can see the awesome texture and colors better
in the video here. I started with a piece of watercolor paper and sprinkled on Nuvo Shimmer Powders, spritzed them and let them dry for a colorful background. Then I applied Nuvo Expanding Mousse in several colors through the
Flair Slimline stencil and Open Blooms stencil. Nuvo Expanding Mousse puffs up with amazing texture when heated with a heat gun. I also applied Nuvo Crackle Mousse though the Barley stencil which cracks as it dries. I added a bit more color with black ink through the
Square Dance stencil and stamped a couple inspirational sentiments with stamps from the
Softly stamp set to complete the mixed media slimline card.
