{Card Fronts Spotlight} Junk Journal Vibes with Chris

Hello everyone! Today we're diving into the wonderful world of texture and layers with a fantastic set of projects from STAMPgirl Chris. If you love the eclectic, artistic look of junk journals but want to translate that style onto your cards, you're in for a treat!

Chris has masterfully used our Junk Journal Collage card fronts as the foundation for these four unique designs, proving just how versatile these "instant art" backgrounds can be.

Mixed Media Textures

In this first card, Chris combines the grungy blue tones of the card front with a crisp white panel featuring the Wonky Stitched Grid Texture Plate. To bridge the two styles, she used the Art Edges die to create a notebook-style perforated edge and finished it off with the Skinny Sentiments "happy birthday" die.

Playful Patterns

Chris brought a pop of color to her second card by layering the Dots All Over stencil over a floral junk journal background. By mounting the "happy birthday" Skinny Sentiments on kraft cardstock blocks, she created a bold, structural focal point that stands out against the busy patterns.

Vintage Grunge

This horizontal design features a beautiful contrast between the Junk Journal Collage card front and a background layer from the Analog Grunge collage paper pack. The elegant, flowing lines of the Birthday Wishes die cut in black provide a perfect sophisticated touch to the distressed aesthetic.

Hello, Beautiful

For a more focal-point-driven design, Chris used a Mixed Media Spring ATC featuring a stunning blue bird, layered over a darker junk journal card front. She kept the sentiment simple and clean using the Just Everyday Greetings clear stickers, allowing the artwork to take center stage.
