{Spotlight Project} Deepti Colors on Kraft!


Hello, friends! Deepti here and welcome to another spotlight feature. Today I am showcasing coloring a kraft card base. I haven't colored with markers on a kraft card base, so I thought I will give it a try and I like how it turned out. Here's the finished card:



STEP 1
I started out by die-cutting one edge of my kraft card stock with a border die. I also prepared the mask for the flower that I will use in this project. Then I heat embossed the flowers in white one after the other by simultaneous masking.




STEP 2
 Then I stamped the leaves along surrounding the flowers using white pigment ink. This was also done by masking the flowers.



STEP 3
I colored the flowers with Sharpie markers, You can do the same using other markers. I picked Sharpie because they have really vibrant colors and my Spectrum Noir markers are all pastel colors :)



STEP 4
I then used a white gel pen to cover the errors I made in coloring the flowers, basically going over the embossed image outline. I also heat embossed the sentiment.



STEP 5
I adhered a text patterned paper on card base and added the kraft panel with some foam adhesive.

    Absolutely love your card. I really like newsprint and Kraft together. Beautiful layout. I have only down this technique a few times. Thanks for the reminder - because I love the results.

    Beautiful, I love using my sharpies and bics as well to color, especially on Kraft paper. Loving the stitched die edge with the text paper. Tfs.
