{Things with Wings} Wing-Themed Cards and Tags by Jane and Tanja

Hey, STAMPlorations friends! It's time for another Things with Wings post. On the 3rd Monday of October, December, February, and April, STAMPgirls Jane and Tanja will be sharing wing-themed projects. And every other month, we'll draw one lucky crafter to win a $15 gift code -- randomly drawn from all comments left on the Things with Wings post for the month, as well as from the featured designers' blogs.

Here's a more detailed look at Jane's and Tanja's projects:

JANE'S THINGS WITH WINGS

Hello and welcome to the 2nd of my "special" posts for STAMPlorations' bimonthly "Things with wings" event. In these posts I am showcasing some fabulous STAMP products which of course "have wings!" For my first card I worked with these awesome products:

I used crackle paste through the stencil for my inky background.

This is my card

My second card uses another lovely stencil, Lupinus, with Winged Things stamps, and a sentiment from Party Time.

Again I used the stencil with crackle paste to make my background but this time I painted on top.

I also cut out some gold embossed and glittered dragonflies to complete my scene. Here is my finished card.

If you would like to see a step by step for these 2 projects do join me over on my blog, Jane's Journal here

Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back with my next Things with Wings projects in February.

TANJA'S THINGS WITH WINGS

It's Tanja here and this is my second Things with with Wings Special Feature Project Post for STAMPlorations:

*****

  • create a background on a CUTplorations Luggage Tag with the help of Distress Oxide Inks (Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac)
  • stamp the sentiment from the STAMPlorations It's a Girl Thing: Sunshine with Versafine Clair Morning Mist
  • stamp some butterflies from the STAMPlorations Winged Things set with that same grey ink and heat-emboss them with WOW! Midas Touch embossing powder
  • add splatters with the Heidi Swapp Color Shine Spray Tinsel
  • thread two strands of twine through the hole of the tag

Beautiful wing-themed projects, aren't they? For a chance to win a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store, leave a comment here and on the designers' blogs by January 8. We'll announce the winner in the December winners post on January 10.

Did you enjoy today's featured post? Jane and Tanja will be back in February for more gorgeous wing-themed creations.
