{Special Post} Coffee Loving Cardmakers + STAMPlorations Collaboration Hop!

Hey, STAMPlorations friends! We have a special blog hop today that all you coffee (or tea!) loving crafters will enjoy. If you'd like a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store, be sure to visit and leave a comment on each stop. We're the first stop and just go through the list at the end of this post. Commenting closes on Friday, August 3, at 11:55 p.m. Pacific.

And you know me, I like to give an extra prize or two so keep scrolling to the end of this post ;-)

I created a couple of cards using our newest Zen Coffee #2 Cover Plate Die. I'll admit, one of the main reasons I design cover plate dies like this one is they make for quick artsy monoprint one layer cards!

Ingredients:

Still here? Oh yeah, the extra prize! Okay, just for those who leave a comment on this post, I'll pick two winners -- one will receive the Zen Coffee #2 Cover Plate Die and the other winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the store. Check back here on August 10 to see if you're one of the winners :o)

Happy hopping!

PS: For one week only, all stamps, stencils, and dies in the Coffee/Tea Lovers section are 25% off with coupon code COFFEECOLLAB.

  3. Thank you so much for the opportunity to play with your new cutplate die! I love the way it allows for so many possibilities and have so enjoyed all the inspiration. I love that you created these for the "stencil-lift" effect it provides on monoprinting and I hope to use it with my gel plates soon. :)

  10. These are gorgeous!
Did you use the coverplate die
as a stencil or did you cut a piece
from white card stock? Either way-
    awesome results!

    1. Hi, Lucy! I cut a stencil out of white cardstock then placed that on my gel plate. I'll see if I can get a tutorial on using dies for monoprinting for Tuesday's spotlight project post :o)

    2. ...thought I'd write a little note about that spotlight project post I promised. It's in the works! Had every intention of posting it on the 31st but my 7-month old had other ideas...she's teething and this mama hasn't really had a good block of time to sit down and do some artsy crafty stuff since Friday because she's been keeping me awake at nights (and I'm pretty exhausted!). So my apologies - I hope to have that post ready either on August 14 or 16 :o)

  11. Love this card, Shery! I am assuming that you used the die to create a stencil and then used the mono print technique? If that's not correct, I think you are going to need an addendum to your post!! Great colors!

    1. Hi, Maura. Yes, you assumed correct. I'll work on a tutorial on using dies for monoprinting for next week's spotlight project post, as I have a few more ways to use cover plate dies for monoprinting.
