{Mixed Media Tutorial} Be Fearless by Tanja

Hi there. It's Tanja here and I would like to show you how to create this canvas step by step:

• cover a canvas with white gesso, apply Texture Paste through the ARTplorations Flower Burst Large stencil and let it dry thoroughly

• create a background with Distress Spray Stains (Tumbled Glass, Broken China)

• mix Distress Paint (Vintage Photo) with Golden Acrylic Glazing Liquid and apply the mixture over the whole canvas, take it off with a baby wipe and repeat the process until you are happy with the result

• add shadows and more color to the flower with the help of a watercolor brush and Derwent Inktense Pencils (Oak, Dark Aquamarine)
• add splatters with the Dark Aquamarine

• apply Distress Paint (Peacock Feathers) through the ARTplorations Fearless Large stencil

• add white splatters with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors

• apply embossing ink all around the edges and heat-emboss them with Distress Embossing Powder (Vintage Photo)

• doodle around the stenciled elements with a PITT Artist Pen (Dark Sepia) and a white gel pen
• add some brown splatters with the leftover glazing mixture and ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Walnut Stain)
