{Mixed Media Tutorial} Sanna's Layered Stenciling Tag

Hello everyone and happy Friday!! Today it's again my turn to share a mixed media tutorial with you all and I wanted to create a bold, happy and colorful tag for this months mixed media post. Are you ready?

This tag features a layered stencil technique where I've used two different stencils on top of each other to create the background look. I really like how it turned out!

Here is what I did:

Step 1: Take a piece of residue (inked) cardstock and die cut with the Nesting Manila Tag die

Step 2: Place the Doily Squares stencil onto the tag and apply pink, green and turquoise ink thru the stencil onto the tag.

Step 3: Now take the Plaid Maker stencil and place it on top of the tag and apply black stamp ink thru the stencil onto the tag surface.

Step 4: Die cut the "smile" word from the same paper you die cut the tag from.

Step 5: Adhere the sentiment onto a pink misted cardstock piece and fussy cut into a banner form.

Step 6: Color the chipboard leaves with the same stamp ink colors you used with the first stencil.

Step 7: Adhere the chipboard pieces and the word banner on place with paper glue and decorate with silver sequins, ribbon and a hint of crystal glaze applied onto the chipboard elements.

I've again recorded a video for you to get a better idea of each and every step. I hope you like it and get inspired to try out this stencil idea on your own crafty projects!!

And as always, feel free to take advantage of my discount code STAMPGIRLSANNA at the STAMPlorations online store - it will give you 20% off you order :). Happy shopping!!

See you next month with another mixed media tutorial!

Happy stenciling,
Sanna
