Bi-Weekly Sketch Challenge #15

Welcome to our 15th bi-weekly sketch challenge! Here’s the sketch for the next couple of weeks. It’s open to interpretation. Feel free to change the orientation of the sketch, use different shapes, add other elements to suit the type of paper craft you’re making, and so on — just make sure the sketch is recognizable in your submission(s). You can use stamps by other companies to create projects that you enter to our challenges, although if you have STAMPlorations stamps in your stash, we'd be tickled if you use them!

PRIZE
The sketch challenges are sponsored by our sister shop, All About Scrapping. The winner gets to pick 3 DIGITAL products from the shop — any combination of printable sheetsPhotoshop templates, and digital paper packs. The winner will also be invited to be a Guest Designer in next month's sketch challenge.

STAMPlorations NEWS
Some updates from the STAMPlorations HQ before we share the projects that our guest designer and design team made. First, the sad news: Sandie has decided to step down. Behind the scenes, she has helped me so much and I'm so very grateful to her! I'm certainly going to miss her here as part of the design team, but it's a small world...and she promised that she'll be playing in our challenges :o)

Next, a couple of happy news: We will be welcoming a new design team member and she'll make her debut on July 21. Who's our new recruit? We'll introduce her on July 20. All I can say is this: she's one of my favorite card-makers and she makes the most gorgeous cards.

Then beginning tomorrow--3 times a week every week--you'll be in for a treat! We're launching the Spotlight Project posts where 6 of us share projects we create. You won't simply see photos; you'll get to read about our process. We'll either have step-by-step (photo) tutorials, share techniques, or have a video for you to watch. Cornelia starts off this feature and you won't want to miss it. Her projects had us squealing in delight when she shared them with us :o)

INSPIRATION PROJECTS
Our guest designer is Monika Reeck, who was our sketch challenge #12 winner.

Guest Designer
"Hi, friends! I am Monika and I come from Indonesia. I am married to a German. I have been living in Munich since 2001. I have two little boys, aged 10 and 7 years. I work as an accountant. I have enjoyed making cards since I attended a German (language) course in 2001. I started to use stamps when my husband bought for me a stamp set in 2009. As I went back to school from 2010 till 2012, I made fewer cards, as I had to concentrate on my tests. I finished school in January 2013. Today I have more time to make cards. My style is Clean and Simple (CAS). I love designing masculine card, as I think they are easier for me to make.I hope I can inspire you as guest designer."
And here are the inspiration projects by the STAMPlorations design team.

READY TO PLAY?
  • Create a new project -- card, tag, mini album/scrapbook cover, layout, home decor item, or any paper craft -- on ANY THEME using the sketch as your guide. Any style is welcome — CAS, shabby chic, vintage, grunge, and so on. Post your creation on your blog and submit it by 11:55 p.m. PDT on Friday, July 18. Don’t have a blog? You can post a photo of your project on your Pinterest page, Flickr, or any public online gallery.
  • You must use stamps (rubber, cling, clear, digi — from any company) in your creation(s).
  • Copy the link of your blog entry where you have your project posted and enter it to the linky found at the end of this post. Remember to link directly to your blog post, not just your blog URL. (This will make it easy for us to find your submission and leave a comment. Please turn off word verification as well.)
  • Please include a text link back to this post in your blog post, as well as display the sketch, to encourage other paper crafters to participate.
  • You can submit up to 3 entries for this challenge.
  • You can submit your creation(s) to other challenges — as many as you want — except to other sketch challenges for obvious reasons!
  • Be a follower of our blog to qualify for the prize.
  • And lastly, have a great time creating your project! :-)

We’ll announce the winner and top picks on Sunday, July 20, here on the STAMPlorations™ blog and on the All About Scrapping page on Facebook. That’s it…we look forward to seeing what you create!

Spammers have been in full force lately so I had to turn comment moderation on. We love hearing from fellow crafters (not spammers), so your comment will be approved as soon as possible. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us :o)
