{Spotlight Project} Chris Creates a Trio of ATCs
[Note: This month, we have several STAMPlorations girls guest designing and joining the regular Spotlight Project girls and sharing more awesome step-by-step projects that feature our 5x7 stamp club sets. We hope you get even more inspired!]
Hello STAMPfriends! Chris here from Chrispy's Creations with my first Spotlight Project! Today I'm using the For the Birds stamp club set to make some ATCs.
I began by cutting water color paper to size, then spritzing Meadow Green Glimmer Mist, dabbing off excess, then spritzing Aquamarine:
I heat dried these, then sponged brown archival ink around the edges:
Using the Daisy Play stencil, I spread embossing paste over the cards. After removing the stencil (and cleaning right away!), I sprinkled gold embossing powder over the paste, then set aside overnight to air dry. (The hardest part was waiting for the paste to dry! LOL!):
Note: I started this late in the afternoon, thus the reason I left these to air dry overnight. If you are an early bird crafter, which I am not, these would most likely be dry by the afternoon, depending on how thick you spread the embossing paste. Once dry, you can heat emboss the gold powder:
I cut some burlap ribbon a bit wider than the cards and taped them down. I stamped and fussy cut the birds and sentiments. I inked around the sentiments to grunge them up a bit:
All that's left is adhering the birds and sentiments using foam squares! Here are some close ups of each card:
In real life, because of the Glimmer Mists and the embossing powder, these are really quite shimmery! I love that! There you have it. The beauty of this design is that if you aren't into making ATCs, you can turn it into a greeting card instead! Woo Hoo!
