{Mixed Media Tutorial} Vibrant floral art journal page by Amy
Good morning crafty friends, Amy here with a quick and fun Art Journal Page for you using Bloom Factory ARTplorations Stencil and Big Bloom Factory STAMPlorations stamp set.
Start by applying Distress ink colors onto your page using a blending tool. I used bright colors here: Candied Apple, Crushed Olive, Fossilized Amber, Picked Raspberry, Broken China and Carved Pumpkin.
Apply Seedless Preserves Distress Ink over the BLOOM FACTORY stencil with a blending tool around the page - be sure to leave some open areas. Then ink around the edge of your page to ground your page.
Next, stamp the flowers from the BIG BLOOM FACTORY set with Watermark Ink onto old book/dictionary paper and emboss with white embossing powder.
Ink up your flowers with the same Distress Inks you used on your page and fussy cut out.
Apply the flowers to the corresponding colors on your journal page and adhere with a glue stick- careful what glue/medium you use to adhere your images as the Distress Inks are water-soluble. Add a sentiment of your choice and voila a quick and fun art journal page!
I sure hope this vibrant journal page makes you smile in this cold weather and happy craftin’!
Supplies used:
Other Supplies: Distress Ink (Candied Apple, Crushed Olive, Fossilized Amber, Picked Raspberry, Broken China, Carved Pumpkin and Seedless Preserves), Recollections White Detail Embossing Powder, Scissors, Old Book Paper and Ranger Collage Glue Stick.
Hugs, Amy
