I was still playing with watercolour and water. When the stenciling didn't work the way I thought it would, I simply added more water and colour and my background was born.
I then simply die-cut the medium CUTplortaions Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies and used the brush border from the Life In Full Color set to do some water bleaching stamping down one side.
Next, I white embossed my sentiment, added a die-cut heart and layered on my linen effect base card.
I also have a little slide show video featuring the card below, demonstrating my process.
It is a really easy technique to try. Should you wish to give it or any of the techniques from our Spotlight posts a go, why not link up your project at our Spotlight Project Showcase for your chance to win a $15 gift certificate (random drawing) OR your choice of 5x7 stamp set plus a Spotlight Project guest designer spot (randomly drawn from the Top 3 picks)!
Have a lovely day!
