{Spotlight Project} Make A Wish by Amy

[Note: This month, we have several STAMPlorations girls guest designing and joining the regular Spotlight Project girls and sharing more awesome step-by-step projects that feature our 5x7 stamp club sets. We hope you get even more inspired!]

Good morning! Amy here with another fun little card using the using the Feathery stamp set and matching dies. I had such fun playing with these - if you missed my "Feathery Delights" cards, please check the post here.

I started with some Strathmore Mixed Media paper and my Twinkling H20s.

I just had fun layering the watercolors together.

I then cut a 5.5"x3" panel out of white cardstock and used 3 of the matching dies and die cut out the feathers.

I then stamped the corresponding stamp to the middle feather using a few Archival Inks that matched the Twinkling H20s colors I used in Step 1.

I applied foam tape to the back of the die cut panel and adhered my colored piece from Step 1.

I then stamped a sentiment from the Feathery stamp set in Versafine Black Onyx Ink.

Some washi tape onto black cardstock created a base for my feathers.

I then adhered the diecut feather to the card front with both Scor-tape and foam tape. It's a little off center to allow for the bright colors to peak through.

To finish, I trimmed off the black edges, as I felt it was too much black and adhered it to a top-fold 4.25"x5.5" white card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope I've inspired you to have some fun with watercolors and die cuts ~ Happy Crafting!
