{Spotlight Project} Shirley Introduces Layered Butterflies - Part 3 + Comment to Win!

Hi peeps! Over the last two weeks (here and here), I've been sharing what you can do with the stamps from my new set, Layered Butterflies. Today I'm mixing it up a bit to get more mileage out of the set.

You can ink up just the body and antennae of the large butterfly set in black, then stamp the solid wings. I diecut the panel using the Crazy Double Running Stitch Nesting Dies and sponged coordinating Distress Oxides on my card base.

You can do the same with the solid wing highlights. But wait a minute, those top wings look like small butterflies. Time for a bit of surgery (gasp!!)

I cut the stamp between the upper and lower wings, then inked the upper wings in Distress Oxides. I used coordinating Sharpies to draw in bodies and antennae.

You can just stamp the outline image, then ignore the boundaries to make your own butterfly shape.

Or find that background panel lurking in your stash that's a bit too dark for anything else, stamp the large butterfly image then get to work with black and white pens to create your own masterpiece. Your only limit is your imagination.

Fancy winning this set? Just leave a comment on this post. We'll pick a winner and announce it on May 10 in the April winners post. If you can't wait, the Layered Butterflies set is already in the store, and if you use my code STAMPGIRLSHIRLEY you'll get 20% off. Happy stamping!
